Rules & Regulations
`1. Uniforms & Practice Wear
* Uniforms have to be worn when competing in competitions.
Make up to be club specification.
* Your uniform must be clean at all times , any uniform that is damaged and deemed unusable by the coaches you are required to purchase another.
* Only official squad jackets may be worn over uniform, uniforms can be worn to and from all events.
* Cheerleaders in uniform or wearing any item of squad or team identification must always conduct themselves in a manner becoming of a Cheerleader.
* Only club training uniforms is to be worn at all times, no excuses will be accepted.
1(a) Training Fees Your training fees must be paid on the day required, NO person will be allowed to enter the training room if your fees are not paid.
(b) There is NO refund if you do not attend training.
(c) Competition fees MUST be paid on the day required, the club will not cover anyones competition fees.
2. Appearance
« For safety reasons jewellery or watches will not be worn with uniform or at practice.
« Mobile phones are to be switched off or on silent during class.
« All hair styles must be neat and secured up out of the face, not needing attention (combing etc.) whilst training, long hair MUST be in a high ponytail (for safety whilst performing stunts etc.)
« Cheerleaders should look their best at all times, especially when in any part of uniform.
3. Conduct
« Squad members are required to maintain and uphold the reputation of the Cobra All Starz Cheerleader through their own conduct and squad spirit.
« Members are required to be courteous, polite, friendly, and try to have a smile for everybody.
« All cheers and chants shall be of a positive and sportsmanlike manner.
« Members will make every attempt to ignore or dissuade negative responses at events and not become involved in such action themselves,bad
language will not be tollerated.
4. Anti-Bullying Code
« Every squad member has the right to be free from intimidation, both in the squad and in the surrounding community.
« The Squad will not accept and will question unkind actions or remarks, even if these were not intended to hurt.
« Any wounding action or comments will be called bullying and will be dealt with seriously it will be instant dismissal, no further discussion will be entered into..
« We all have a duty to report bullying. Bullying is too important to ignore.
5. Fundraising Activities
« All cheerleaders will participate our fund raising projects. The money raised will be used to fund additional agreed expenses during the
year such as extra items of kit or equipment. Donations to, and fund raising for, All Starz squad team funds or charity projects may be conducted as agreed
by the Fund Raising Coordinator..
« All fund raising activities will be approved by Fundraising Coordinator..
6. Eligibility
« A candidate must be physically fit, neatly presented and if under 18yrs old provide written parental permission..
« Acceptance of a candidate shall be on the basis of commitment.
7. Membership
« This is open to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria .
« Who attends regularly and participates fully in the squads activities and pays their subscriptions on time.
« The squad will be divided into appropriate groups depending on age as specified by the USASF and ability.
« Insurance is mandatory and will be paid for through subs and arranged by the committee. There are no exemptions.
8. Attendance Requirement
« Competitions – The Head Coach will decide which competitions to enter and has the final decision (due to costs).
« Once a cheerleader agrees to participate in the competition all practices MUST be attended (including extra ones), unless suitable reasons for exemption.
« Other Performance – From time to time the squad will be asked to take part in fetes, parades and other charitable events. All members are expected to
participate in such events, unless work or illness prevents them doing so.
« Social Events – From time to time the squad will arrange social events. All members required to attend
« The Coordinator or Coaches will give reasonable notice of all upcoming events, notice on the notice boards, through facebook page, or either word of mouth or separate notes (if necessary).
9. Squad Captain
« Will set an example to the rest of the squad by following the squad rules at all times and by being at training and events early.
« Be setting a good example of friendliness to other cheerleaders.
« Help organising the squad at events to ensure they are in the right places at the correct times.
« In the event the Squad captain does not perform her duties correctly a new captain will be appointed.
10. Practice Schedule
" If class fees are not paid by the set date, you will not be permitted to train.
« Training sessions are held at the Studio.
« During competition training or other important events full day training may be required.
« ALL compitation squad members are required to attend ALL training sessions unless valid reasons are notified to the office.
11. Disciplinary Action
« A squad member may be dismissed from the squad for the following reasons: – Excessive and Irreconcilable disruptive influence on the squad, consumption of alcohol or drugs of any kind. Unexcused absence, excessive absence, bad language, failure to cooperate with coaches or failure to abide by the squad rules and regulations. No further disgussion will be entered into.
« A squad member may be suspended from performances/competitions for the following reasons:- failure to cooperate with coaches or failure to abide by the squad rules and regulations.
" Disrespect to any of the Associations coaches or committee member, blatent disreguard and negative comments directed at any of the Associations Coaches, will result in instant dismissal and NO further discussion will be entered into.
